Plein air painting
June 23 - 24, 2012

Celebrate a little bit of Provence, France a mere two hours from Virginia! Join Bobbi Pratte for an exciting weekend of plein air painting in Pennsylvania's fields of lavender. Willow Pond Farms, a family-owned herb farm located near Gettysburg, organically grows some 70+ varieties of lavender and heralds its yearly blooms in June.

A special workshop has been planned for this wonderful event, which includes a tour of the gardens, plein air painting in the lavender fields, and a special Boarding House Luncheon of herbal and lavender delights prepared by Executive Chef Madeline Wajda. The best of classical French fare with traditional American is combined in such delights as gingered carrot soup with sage, grilled rosemary chicken, and cherry-lavender clafouti with lavender creme anglaise. Your luncheon includes five leisurely courses with an opportunity to learn about the use of lavender and other herbs in cooking.

This workshop is currently wait-list only
. Workshop cost: $195 + $30 luncheon fee. Optional limited lodging is available for $37 per person, per night (2 nights for workshop) sharing a double room.
