Spring 2013 Paris Travel Workshop
Painting and Drawing with Robert Liberace
March 24 - April 2, 2013

Instructor Rob Liberace speaks during the group's private visit to the Louvre print and drawing room.

Drawing and painting students who have experienced Robert Liberace’s extremely successful series of travel workshops — in Florence (2006), Venice (2008), Rome (2010), London (2011), Edinburgh (2012), and now Paris — get to experience the masterpieces with the perspective of a teacher who is not just an art historian, but a master draftsman, painter, sculptor, and art historian.

In the 1880s Paris was considered the art capital of the Western world, and today it boasts 470 parks and gardens and 173 museums, including the Louvre and the Musee d'Orsee, both highlights of this travel workshop.

Students enjoyed the beautiful architecture and priceless drawings on view during a private visit to the Louvre's Print and Drawing Room. Other stops on the workshop itinerary included the Musee D'Orsay, the Petit Palais, the Musee de L'Orangerie to view Monet's Water Lily series, the Sorbonne, the Ecole des Beaux Arts, a live fine art auction at a Parisian auction house, and day trips to the magnificent Chateau de Versailles and Giverny (Monet's famous home and gardens, on the outskirts of Paris).
