Sculptor Noah Williams successfully breathes new life into objects most would consider junk in the form of imaginative large-scale works of art. Join photographer John Burgess as he discusses creating successful prints using ink jet printers based on his experiences and extensive training in color management. Burgess says, as a photographer, he strives to control the entire process from image capture to the exhibition print.

This talk by photographer John Burgess will include step-by-step explanations about how to use Photoshop software to create the correct formats for digital and CD submissions. The presentation is suitable for both PC and Mac users. No prior experience needed. This demonstration is not for the experienced Photoshop user — it is for the beginner to intermediate user or for someone who wants to become a beginning Photoshop user and who might want to get a ‘feel’ for digital image processing.

"Tabletop," The Art League's national exhibit of functional ceramic wares juried by Linda Christianson (christiansonpottery.com), will be open June 6–July 1, 2013.

Photographer Bob Tetro captures the abstract beauty and textures found throughout the geysers and hot springs in Yellowstone National Park. “Yellowstone Abstracted,” Tetro’s exhibit of large-scale photographs, will be featured in The Art League Gallery from June 6 – July 1, 2013.

The Torpedo Factory and The Art League will be closed Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Classes and Art Camps will not meet.

All member artists working in three-dimensional media are invited to submit to "Shapes," The Art League's annual sculpture exhibit, juried by Laura Roulet.
