description
This class has met twice as of Jan. 17, 2014. The cost reflects 7 sessions remaining. Two weeks of sharpening drawing skills using graded graphite pencils on refined, rendered drawings prepare the student for two weeks of drypoint etching. No chemicals are used in this type of printmaking as all one needs are a steel or diamond point and a piece of plastic or metal. This long revered method produces beautiful, seductive prints. Two weeks of drawing with a piece of silver in a holder on specially prepared paper concludes the class. A materials fee is payable to the instructor for certain supplies. Students need to purchase supplies for this class. A list of recommended supplies is available in the School Store located in room 217 of the Torpedo Factory.
