Whether monotype or monoprint, “the painterly print” calls for work in color. Wide ranges of inking techniques, both abstract and realistic, are used. Some experience with color is helpful. A $40 lab fee is payable to the instructor.
The Art League, through association with Discover Graphics Atelier, Inc., a non profit workshop, offers a wide range of printmaking classes. Discover Graphics is a fully equipped printmaking studio under the direction of Penny Barringer with two etching and two lithographic presses and all the necessary equipment for quality printmaking. Experienced printmakers may apply to be affiliated artists and pay a monthly fee to cover basic supplies and equipment during open studio hours. For information call 703-549-1381.
