Biography:
Robin Reid has a BA in International Affairs from George Washington University and worked for 6 years on Capitol Hill. She left to pursue her love of dancing, which she did for 15 years. She then apprenticed at a portrait studio, learning the craft on all levels, from shooting the images, to print and film retouching, as well as color and B&W custom printing. As a member of the Virginia Professional Photographers Association, she has won many awards, including Best Child's Portrait. Her clients include the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Time-Life Books, McGraw-Hill, and American Management Systems. She has done specialty retouching for the U.S. Senate and the National Geographic. She and her husband, Fil Hunter, are the authors of Focus on Lighting Photos, which will be published in the summer of 2011.
