After graduating, Julia attended the summer ceramics program at Alfred University in New York, followed by a year in the post-baccalaureate ceramics program at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Between 2011 and 2014, Julia worked as an educational assistant at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, taught community classes at Pewabic Pottery in Detroit and spent two years working with the wonderful folks at Motawi Tileworks and Rovin Ceramics in Ann Arbor. In 2012 Julia won a residency at John Glick\\\'s Plum Tree Pottery and spent two years working beside him in his studio.
