Instructor: Lori Katz

I love teaching. My approach is fairly low-key; I go with the assumption that everyone who signs up for one of my classes is there because they want to be there, and I am there to provide as much information as I can. Each student progresses at his or her own pace, usually working as individuals with individual ideas, goals and levels of ability. I try to keep things fun and provide every student, from the person who\'s never handled clay to the student with several years of experience, with the instruction and support that they need to achieve the goals they\'ve set.

My sessions usually begin with various hand-building techniques, and then move on to the potter's wheel. Most students tend to focus on wheel-throwing after the first couple of meetings, but there is always room for the students who want to focus on further hand building techniques.
