Abstract Art: New & Creative Approaches (All Levels)

Instructor: Delna Dastur

Students explore imaginative ways to create abstract art by using a wide array of materials such as charcoal, pastel, ink, and paint. New methods to create texture, layers, and bold marks are taught along with the study of line, color, and composition. A different contemporary artist is introduced in each class to inspire new approaches to abstraction. Critiques and demonstrations contribute to this intuitive process.

This class requires supplies. Most supplies and supply lists may be obtained at The Art League Store in the Torpedo Factory, room 217. The store hours are 11am – 5pm, 7 days a week.
