Approaches to Tile Making

*Registration for winter classes begins at 10:00am on Monday, November 13th. Any registrations received in advance of 10:00 am, on the first day of registration, will be considered “early” and are processed at the end of the day.  Due to the high volume of registrations, for in-person registrations, only one registration will be accepted per person.*

This class is designed as a thoughtful approach to tile making. Design, planning and repetition is considered in conjunction with a variety of construction techniques. Modeling the tile as relief, multiples by use of press molds, die cutting and a full variety of other approaches enhance your tile vocabulary. Surfacing approaches such as image transfer, layering of media, effective use of texture and intentional narration is explored. Individual pursuits is encouraged and supported as they present themselves.
