Students are introduced to classical and contemporary notions of drawing through techniques like composition, mark-making, line, light and shade. Whether it be still-life, landscape, animals or people, this course instructs how to transfer what students see into what they draw with pencils, charcoal or pastels. Students need to acquire supplies for this class.
Supplies are required for this course. As a service to our students, most supply lists are kept on hand in the Art League Supply Store. The existence of this store gives students the opportunity to obtain supplies in advance and come to class prepared to work. The Art League Supply Store is in studio 217 at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, just around the corner from the Art League School Registration Office.
They are open 7 days a week for your convenience. Due to our large enrollment, we are unable to mail, fax, or read supply lists over the phone. It is the responsibility of the student to acquire their own materials.
Hours: Sunday through Thursday from 11:00am to 5:00pm
Friday and Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm
