Drawing and Painting Projects

Instructor: Lisa Semerad

This class is for students who are familiar with their media and who need time and counsel to bring their ideas to fruition. Any style of painting is welcome as are additional media such as oil pastel or charcoal. Emphasis is on composition, narrative, color, technique, and utility. Class time includes mostly individual help with group critiques every other week during lunch or at the end of class. Students must supply their own photos or still life items. Instruction includes using these items as a launching point for learning what to include or leave out of the composition. Teacher demonstrations are also included. Students need to acquire supplies for this class. A list of recommended supplies must be picked up from the School Store located in room 217 of the Torpedo Factory.
