No class October 19 or November 23. Discover the foundations of jewelry making: soldering, filing, sawing, forming, and finishing. Beginning students make a band ring as their first project, with thorough, step by step demonstrations and explanations. Designs, aspirations, and plans for subsequent individual projects are discussed. Specialized techniques and equipment such as rolling mills, dapping blocks, and disc cutters are demonstrated.
