This class is starting on September 26, one week later than originally published and is 8 weeks long.Through applying the academic concepts and emotional possibilities of line, this course offers a vital step for artists who would like to “loosen up.” Line variations in contour, hatching/cross-hatching, line systems, texture, movement, color interplay, and overall rhythm and design are covered. Paper varieties and surfaces and their effects on various media are shown. Suggested materials: graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, pastels or ink.
Students need to purchase supplies for this class. A list of recommended supplies must be picked up from the School Store located in room 217 of the Torpedo Factory.
