Intermediate to Advanced
Referencing cityscapes by Pissaro, Hopper or Estes, students paint from personal photos of favorite urban settings. Participants with drawing experience learn the grid system to create aerial perspective and learn about light, space, color mixing, and painting techniques. One or two completed works on large format is expected. Oil or acrylics are the mediums of choice. For intermediate to advanced students only.
This class requires supplies. Most supplies and supply lists may be obtained at The Art League Store in the Torpedo Factory, room 217. The store hours are 11am – 5pm, 7 days a week. You can reach the store at: 703-548-8127.
