Martha H. Kennedy is a curator of popular and applied graphic art in the Prints and Photographs Division of the Library of Congress. Her recent book “Drawn to Purpose: American Women Illustrators and Cartoonists,”  won a prestigious Eisner Award for Best Comics Related Book in 2019.

Martha will share some of her favorite images from the Library created by women illustrators whose work and life stories merit more attention and study.
