This course introduced students to the techniques and skills to achieve artistic expression through volume. Students discover the main principles of proportion along with the mysteries and surprises that accompany the creative process. Participants may work with a model, or bring in their own concepts for sculptures. Students are free to explore abstract or representational projects. Instructor guides students on particular methods to best produce their works. The fee includes two bags of clay. Model and firing fees are extra.

Pandemic and Health Crisis Policy
We have a protocol that we follow for deciding when it is reasonably safe to resume in studio classes. We’re continuing to follow all Covid Safety protocols on the state and local levels for onsite activities and are monitoring the conditions in Alexandria.
Resumption In-Person Classes Policy
In-person classes will resume when Alexandria sustains thresholds of:
—the Daily New Case Rate at or below 25.0 per 100k; with
—the Covid-19 Infection Rate at or below 1.10; and
—the Positive Test Rate is at or below 10% or below.
