Basic Weaving on a Rigid-heddle Loom

Instructor: Tea Okropiridze

During this online class students will learn how to dress a rigid-heddle loom for weaving. Basic hand-controlled techniques will be demonstrated, including tapestry weaving, rug making, open lace work, and cloth making. Some of the finishing techniques are also covered. The instructor will give step-by-step instructions and demonstrations along with feedback to all students. Looms along with a materials kit are available for rent. A separate refundable deposit will be required along with the loom rental. Details can be discussed by phone between noon and 4:00pm weekdays at 703 683 2323.
