Plein Air Landscape Painting (Intermediate)

This class focuses on simplifying the complex elements found in nature and building a solid composition. Students explore their personal reactions to landscape while learning design, value, color, light patterns, atmospheric perspective, and paint application. Demonstrations, critiques, and discussion of materials and techniques are included. Class meets in a new local park each week, unless inclement weather is expected. Any classes postponed will be made up at the end. Students must physically able and willing to wear a mask at all times while practicing proper social distancing. Supplies are needed for this class. A list of recommended supplies may be picked up from the School Store located in room 217 of the Torpedo Factory.
