Intermediate– Students of the long pose enjoy an extended pose to produce a finished painting. Participants study the structure of the head, the skull, the muscles, the planes on the face, and the features. Students also learn to create skin tone through color studies. Homework assignments deal with clothing and background. The instructor demonstrates “alla prima” (wet-on-wet) painting and glazing. Portrait and still-life painters are welcome. Model fees are extra. This class is presented on Zoom.
A kit of supplies is available for purchase online through The Art League’s website, and can be shipped for a fee, or picked up curbside.

Most supplies and supply lists may also be obtained at The Art League Store in the Torpedo Factory, room 217. The store hours are 11am – 5pm, Wednesday through Sunday.
