This in-person class will be taught practicing proper social distance over two classroom spaces. A free standing HEPA/UV-C air cleaner will be in use in the classroom. Please read the attached document links for a further explanation.
Beginning students learn basic techniques for making a small stained glass panel: design, cutting, foiling and/or leading, soldering, puttying, applying a patina, and framing. Intermediate and advanced students hone skills and learn new techniques to be used on advanced projects. (Pregnant women should check with their doctor before registering.) Supplies for new students are discussed in the first class.
We have a protocol that we follow for deciding when it is reasonably safe to resume in studio classes. We’re continuing to follow all Covid Safety protocols on the state and local levels for onsite activities and are monitoring the conditions in Alexandria. Sadly, winter in-person classes are suspended until conditions improve. Online classes continue as scheduled.
Resumption In-Person Classes Policy
In-person classes will resume when Alexandria sustains thresholds of:
—the Daily New Case Rate at or below 25.0 per 100k; with
—the Covid-19 Infection Rate at or below 1.10; and
—the Positive Test Rate is at or below 10% or below.
