The Art League Ceramics Studio at our Madison Annex in Old Town, Alexandria boasts large, bright, and well-equipped studios.
The Art League ceramics classes accommodate beginners and those with advanced skills. Students may choose to make pieces on the potters wheel, handbuild, or take a sculptural approach to their work. Most instructors can teach all methods of construction. The Art League Ceramics Studio fires the majority of its work at cone six oxidation in electric kilns and gas reduction kilns at no additional cost. The facility also fires with a raku kiln for an additional fee.
The tuition fee includes 25 pounds of clay, glazes, and firing in the electric kiln. New students may buy tools for approximately $20 at the first class. Students of all levels are welcome.
