Watercolor Experience Audit Only

Instructor: Peter Ulrich
Peter Ulrich

Students may audit this class. Auditing students may watch each session and receive any images or handouts the instructor provides, but will not be able to engage with instructor or receive critiques of their work.

Students develop confidence, consistency, and an individual style.  Instruction includes class critique, demonstrations, and individual attention in solving problems in composition, value, and color harmony.  The goal is to exploit the unique “magic” of watercolor with a variety of approaches.  Beginners with some experience in drawing or other media are welcome. No class July 2nd.

This online class is taught via the Zoom digital platform. The class structure will be as follows:

Ahead of each class, the instructor will email the registered students a Powerpoint document describing the theme of the class for that week. He will also email the participants a folder containing appropriate photos related to the theme of the day that they can choose to use during the class. They also can use their own photos.

Each day:

Introductory lecture with Powerpoint slides –   10 minutes

    Painting demonstration – 30 Minutes – 10 minute break – 30 minutes

Student painting (or whatever they want to do) – 1 hour

Return for wrap-up, including critique and discussion of student work – 40 minutes

    TOTAL 3 hours each class

Each session will be recorded so students can check back on content later if needed.

Students can ask me questions or make comments at any time during the demonstration and during their 1-hour painting period  by using the “raising your hand” feature. I will ask them to click on ‘unmute”, then ask the question and then click on “mute”.
