Ikebana Arranger: Jane Redmon

I chose “Samurai I,” a mixed media photo by Janos Somogyi to combine with my ikebana arrangement because I have studied Japanese calligraphy, and I was drawn to the strong black lines against the white background, along with the stamp, as in calligraphy.  The arrangement also has prominent black lines against a white background with flowers the color of the stamp in the art work.

Container by Carlos Beltrán Baldiviezo

*Due to the nature of this exhibit, the floral arrangements (ikebana) and containers are not available for purchase.
