This course investigates the nuances of form through structural drawing. Using models or constructions (which have a mechanistic look) on day one, students learn to interpret form through a vocabulary of structural drawing elements, originating from the block. The second session raises the bar considerably, as students are guided through an organic form drawing exercise. The second study compels students to think creatively about spacial reasoning within a given subject. This type of interpretation assists with seeing light on form and is extremely useful for a variety of applications, including long pose figure work.
