This workshop looks at the great modern Spanish artists Fortuny and Sorolla. Their unique and dynamic approach to painting profoundly impacted the art world and had a powerful influence over both their contemporary and future generations. We will study Fortuny’s special manner of paint handling along with Sorolla’s distinctively modern color approach and practice their approach in oils. This online workshop will feature discussions and demonstrations on organization, anatomy, and fabric design as they relate to the portrait.
