Sponsorship of The Art League is a creative and community-focused answer to specific corporate marketing objectives.
This form of partnership offers corporations, businesses, and organizations an exceptional opportunity to gain exposure to a thriving cultural community as well as the broader audience of visitors who come to The Art League from around the region, nation, and world.
The Art League offers a range of corporate sponsorship opportunities that provide meaningful support of the League’s mission while advancing your company’s recognition in the community:
- Gallery Exhibits – The Art League Gallery has a new exhibit each month in the Torpedo Factory Art Center, to which all 1,000+ members are invited to submit their works, attracting hundreds more viewers throughout the month
- Events – The Art League holds creative, community-based events across the year, including our Art on the Rocks cocktail event in October, the Artfete holiday open house event in December, and our wildly popular annual Patrons’ Show fundraiser in Feburary alone attracts 800 people.
- Naming Opportunities – Visiting artist teacherships, lecture series, designated spaces and other philanthropic commitments provide lasting ways to associate your group’s name with the work of The Art League.
- Outreach Programming – The Art League runs a scholarship program to assist students of all ages in financial need, the SOHO Old Town outreach program for at-risk youth, and the IMPART program for Injured Military Personnel.
With a prime location in the Torpedo Factory Art Center on the Old Town, Alexandria waterfront, and a second location in North Old Town, The Art League Gallery and School are highly visible, and they are a critical component of Alexandria’s business traffic.
Each month, over 7,000 visitors come through The Art League Gallery, located on the first floor of the Torpedo Factory Art Center. Visitors to the gallery include local and DMV community members, and cultural tourists from around the region and country who are touring Old Town, Alexandria – a city known for its cultural and arts components; school groups who are being immersed in the visual arts; and more. Often 300 to 400 guests attend The Art League’s opening receptions and events. Thousands more unique visitors explore The Art League’s website, blog, social media networks, and YouTube and Flickr galleries each month.
In the School, over 6,500 students enroll each year in Art League classes, filling over 10,000 seats each year. The Art League strives to ensure a wide range of educational opportunities resulting in a diverse student body that spans all ages, demographics, and levels of expertise. The majority of our students are working professionals hailing from Northern Virginia. We attract culturally-inclined enrollees from around the DMV, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and beyond.

We invite you to explore the team-building possibilities of The Art League’s Creative Retreat Program. Creativity in the workforce is increasingly valued. Many employers now look at creativity as a channel for self-expression and job satisfaction in their employees. By fostering employees’ creativity, organizations can enhance encourage learning, development of new ideas, and individuality, while also working together as a team.
Creative Retreats at The Art League are available in a wide range of media – drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and more.
Retreats can accommodate groups as small as 5 and as large as 35, and they can be held inside or outside our facilities. All retreats are custom-designed to meet the needs and interest of the client group, and we will work with you to create a package that meets your group’s needs.
The Art League is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization, and all creative retreat fees directly support our mission and programs. Standard retreat price ranges from $500 to $2,500. Necessary materials and tools are included in the cost.
