Construction and Perspective in Figure Drawing

Instructor: Dan Thompson
Dan Thompson

This 3 day, in-person long pose drawing workshop has been organized around the study of 2 vital elements: anatomical figure construction and perspective. Students will learn how to visualize and compile complex bony landmarks into an atypical network of interrelated forms. Through demonstration, lectures and individual feedback, participants will create drawings with convincing cross sectional thinking. Students should also emerge with comprehension of how viewpoint influences drawing. A materials list will be provided; Model fees extra.

Covid Policy for Students in this Class

As of April 4, 2022, The Art League has lifted its visitor/staff/student Proof-of-Vaccination requirement for in-person class participants. If the CDC releases/recommends a 4th shot/booster for the general population, and widespread distribution makes these readily accessible, The Art League will consider reinstating this requirement. As of April 8th, 2022, given the current spike we’re reinstating mandatory masks for all students, staff and teachers.
