Drawing and Painting at Great Falls

Instructor: Patrick Kirwin

Be inspired to paint Plein Air at Great Falls Park by the myriad of natural subject matter.  From foliage, woods, waterfalls, river water, rocks, wildlife, cliffs and ruined canals, there is so much to see and paint. In this two day workshop, participants draw and paint (in any media) the surprising natural beauty so close to Washington, DC. Students should bring their painting supplies, sunscreen, insecticide and lunch and snacks for an all day adventure in creativity. The class meets at 9:00am each morning (the park opens at 7:00am) for orientation and then participants part to find their working locations. A $20 fee per car to enter the park, unless you have a senior discount or National Park Pass.
