Finishing with Patina on Plaster, Terracotta, and Wood

Instructor: George Tkabladze
George Tkabladz

The patina is an important element of a cast and determines the enjoyment of both eye and touch. It also protects work from dust and makes the cast more attractive.

During this 2 day intensive workshop, students  learn aspects of painting and patination to develop the right finish, color, and texture on a sculptural artwork through lots of hands-on experimentation and demos.

Students are required to bring their own pieces to work on during the workshop. A materials fee of $50 is payable to the instructor
