Intermediate Fluid Art

Enrollment restricted to those who completed the beginner’s workshop
This workshop focuses on using fluid art techniques and various acrylic mediums. Applying basic techniques such as “chain pulls” and “dirty pours” can be challenging when working with large canvases, multiple mediums and colors. Working with 8” x 10,” 16” x 20” and 18” x 24” canvases, participants will complete six canvases over a two-day period. Techniques will be demonstrated with an emphasis on symmetry and composition. Participants will work with special mediums such as molding paste, mica, tar gel, or glazing agents. Students pay a $30 fee on the first day of the workshop for shared supplies provided by the instructor. A list of supplies needed may be picked up from the School Store located in room 217 of the Torpedo Factory.
