Smalti has been used for hundreds of years to create beautiful artworks. The glass is thick and heavily pigmented lending itself to rich, textural art. Currently produced in different parts of the world, variations will be discussed. Tools and cutting methods will be demonstrated. A direct method approach will be taken to create a beautiful work. Materials fee of $75 due to instructor by first day of workshop.
