Raku Firing Workshop

Join us on Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm to glaze and prepare your pieces and then return on Saturday from 9am to 3pm for the firing. Glazes are included with the firing fee. Raku tongs and safety gear are furnished.

These Raku workshops are designed to offer students an initial experience working with live fire in a Raku format. While experienced Raku artists are welcome to sign up, the format is designed for beginners. Workshop participants will be encouraged to bring 2-3 small to medium sized already bisque fired vessels for the workshop.

Students who wish to participate in the workshop but do not have already fired pottery can still sign up and connect directly with the instructor, David Flohr, and they will be provided with bisque fired vessels that they can decorate and fire and experience the process.
