Target Gallery – Calls for Entry

The Target Gallery currently has exhibition opportunities that you can submit to.

1. Pandora’s Box – Sculptural Show that examines the title’s theme
Deadline for entries: October 5, 2009
Exhibition Dates: December 10 – January 10, 2010
Description: This exhibition examines the theme of the title Pandora’s Box. Artists must create work based on this theme within a 12 inch square box. The work can be contained within the box or it can explode from the box. The juror for this exhibition is Pyramid Atlantic Art Center’s Curator and Director of Programs, Landria Shack.

2. mprint – Survey of contemporary printmaking today
Deadline for entries: November 17, 2009
Exhibition Dates: January 16 – February 21, 2010
Description: An exhibition that examines the current trends in contemporary printmaking today. This opportunity is open to all artists working in the printmaking medium. Our juror for this exhibition is Jane Haslem, owner Jane Haslem Gallery. Jane Haslem Gallery was established in 1960 and specializes in American Art of the last half of the 20th Century. The gallery is known for its in-depth collection of prints by those artists responsible for reviving printmaking in the US after World War II.

3. Going Postal – 2009 Postcard Show – Not Juried, open to ALL!
Deadline for Entry: December 1st
Exhibition Dates: December 3-6 – Reception: December 3, during TFAC Holiday Open House
Description: Going Postal is a fun 3-day exhibition open to ALL artists with the stipulation that the work must be original art based on the 4×6” postcard format. Entry fee is $10 per artwork or 3 for $25, which guarantees entry into the show.
