MetPublications

Did you know the Met has made hundreds of art history papers, exhibition catalogues, and other publications available for free on their website?

The Met started making these resources available last year, and with the addition last month of 50 years’ worth of The Metropolitan Museum of Art Bulletin, there are now hundreds of publications and out-of-print titles to read online. You can see the full collection here, search only the titles with the full text available, or see the collection of favorite Met titles. From The Care and Handling of Art Objects and How to Read Chinese Paintings to The Art of Seeing: Photographs from the Alfred Stieglitz Collection and American Ingenuity: Sportswear, 1930s–1970s, it’s a great resource for anyone interested in this institution’s incredible collection!
