I attempt to use forms and sculpted lines and curves to create a sense of movement in the subject matter. The sense of movement gives life and spirit to my static stoneware and porcelain pieces. I seek to use my work to connect people with nature and spiritual world. My glaze combinations are inspired by themes found in nature. I use form to accentuate the shapes found in the natural world. I decorate my pieces with textures that symbolize natural processes or psychological concepts. As I transform the clay, it transforms me.
