Ryan McDonnell is a DC based artist and writer. Originally from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, he obtained his undergraduate degree from Edinboro University in 2005 and quickly moved to DC where he received a certificate in Ceramics and Stone Sculpture from The Corcoran College of Art and Design and an MFA in Studio Art from The George Washington University. McDonnell was awarded several grants through the DC Commission of the Art and Humanities involving community building and mentoring at-risk youths. He taught at the college level since 2015. McDonnell mainly shows regionally, and previously had several shows in Europe and Canada.
