In this tranquil two-day workshop, participants arrange and paint koi fish and interweave flowers throughout the painting. Students embrace their own compositional styles and learn how to bring their painting to life through the lesson of “flow” in art. Additional valuable topics demonstrated are color, drawing, value, texture and depicting surfaces. Surfaces elements, such as leaves and pansies, are used throughout the painting. Instructor demonstrations, guidance on artwork and constructive critique are provided to the students. Glossy photographs of koi are provided, however, it is also advised to bring an electronic device, ie. iPad, large smartphone, or lap top, to view images from.
