Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors – NY
Deadline: April 9, 2012. View in Old Forge, NY announces a call to artists for a juried exhibition, August 11 – October 8, 2012. Jurors: Pat San Soucie, Paul Jackson. Competitive exhibition open to all artists working with water-media on paper; only water soluble media on unvarnished paper will be considered. Water soluble media include: acrylics, casein, egg tempera, gouache, inks, and transparent and opaque watercolor. Call to artists for Nelson Gallery’s 13th Annual Juried Show – VA
Deadline: June 12, 12. Call to artists for 13th Annual Juried Show at NELSON GALLERY (an artists’ cooperative in Lexington, Virginia.) Eligibility: mid-Atlantic residents (NC, SC, VA, PA, MD, DE, DC). Prizes include: $1,000 best in show and Members’ Choice Award of solo show at Nelson Gallery in July, 2013, plus additional cash awards. Theme: “Feast on This” interpreted as artist wishes. Two or three dimensional art up to 50 inches, length or width. No crafts. Juror: Matt Klos, MFA, U of MD, chair of Art Dept at Anne Arundel Community College, winner of many awards, oils in New American Paintings. Entry fee: $30 for 3 jpgs. All works must be for sale. Buck Hill Falls Fine Arts & Crafts Festival – PA
Deadline: April 14, 2012. The Buck Hill Art Association invites fine artists and craftspersons to apply to the 69th annual juried show, July 20 and 21, 2012 in Buck Hill Falls, PA. $250 Best In Show; $100 Best Painting. Only original hand-made work. Judging will be in five categories: Paintings, Works on Paper, Photography, Sculpture and Fine Crafts. My Loves: Linus Galleries – CA
Deadline: April 12, 12. Love is in the air. But what is Love to you? What are your loves? Interpret love, or your desires, or your loves to us in the best art. All artists worldwide will be considered for this Call for Artists from photography, to paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor and ink, graphite drawings and fabric work from quilts to stitchwork. Those accepted artists will be asked to be a part of a collective show in the future months. The artists will be asked if they wish to submit their artwork for the show, which is not a requirement to being a part of this show. Cost: $35 for 3 entries, $5 for additional entries. Lancaster County Art Association National Juried Exhibition – PA
Deadline: April 7, 2012. The Lancaster County Art Association announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, June 10 – July 19, 2012 in Strasburg, PA. $3,000 in cash awards. Juror: John Costanza. All original work in five categories: Oil & Acrylic, Watermedia, Photography, Sculpture & Ceramics, and Other Media is eligible for entry. Up to three pieces may be submitted. Work previously shown in the LCAA galleries will not be accepted. Artwork must have been completed in the past three years. Open to all artists 18 years or older. All artwork must be framed and securely wired for hanging (saw tooth hangers are not acceptable.) All 2-D works must be matted and framed under glass or plexiglass except oils and acrylics treated like oils. Work on canvas with finished edges is acceptable. No frames that leave the edges of the glass exposed will be accepted. Entries should not exceed 45 inches in any direction (including the frame). $10 per artwork submitted by LCAA members; $15 per artwork submitted by non-members. Metro Montage XII – GA
Deadline: April 24, 2012. The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art in Marietta, Georgia announces a call to artists for a juried exhibition, July 7 – September 9, 2012. Awards: 1st: $750, 2nd: $500, 3rd: $250. Juror: Geanna M. Barlaam. All Media Accepted. All entries must be original work. Work must be recent and must not have been previously shown at MCMA. All photography submissions must be one of a limited edition, numbered, and not showing elsewhere during Metro Montage. All images must be framed appropriately, with a wire hanger. Sawtooth Hangers are not acceptable. Entries may be no larger than 80″x80″ framed. Gallery canvases need not be framed if canvas is painted on the sides. Works that do not meet MCMA requirements and standards will be disqualified. Images must be submitted in JPG format. Call for Public Art, Ames Intermodal Transportation Facility – IA
Deadline: May 21, 2012. The City of Ames invites sculpture submissions for a work to be exhibited in conjunction with the opening of the new Ames Intermodal Transportation Facility in early July, 2013. The selected sculpture will be on display from July 2013 for up to 3 years, and the artist will receive a $3000 honorarium. 2012 Craft Research Fund Grants – NC

The mission of the Craft Research Fund is to advance, expand and support research about craft in the United States. GOALS: • To support innovative research on critical issues in craft theory and history. • To explore the inter-relationship among craft, art, design and contemporary culture. • To foster new cross-disciplinary approaches to scholarship in the craft field in the United States. • To advance investigation of neglected questions on craft history and criticism in the United States. EXHIBITION RESEARCH GRANTS: Up to $15,000 as part of exhibition-related research yet to be completed. PROJECT GRANTS: Up to $15,000 for scholarly research yet to be completed. (Non-exhibition related). GRADUATE RESEARCH GRANTS: Up to $10,000 for thesis or dissertation by students enrolled in graduate programs in any accredited college or university.

Residency Project: Kutztown University of Pennsylvania – PA
Deadline: June 29, 12. Residency Dates: Jan. 21–Feb. 7, 2013 / Exhibition on view: Feb. 7–Mar. 17, 2013. The Marlin and Regina Miller Art Gallery at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania requests proposals from artists, craftspersons, and designers for the production of an original, temporary, site-specific installation for our exhibition space. The selected artist (or artist team) will be awarded $7,500. The award must cover all material and labor costs associated with the production of the work, all incidental costs, meals, transportation costs, and all artist fees and honoraria. The university will provide $2,500 stipend for housing one block from the gallery for one artist—all remaining housing costs for additional artists and/or support personnel must be covered from the $7,500 award.
