Meet the Juror

Costa Vavagiakis

Costa Vavagiakis has been featured in the publications Portrait Painting Atelie and Curve: The Female Nude Now, and in articles in American ArtistAmerican Artist Drawing, and The Artist’s Magazine, among others.

He is the recipient of many distinguished awards, including the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and the Gregory Millard Fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts. Mr. Vavagiakis’s work has appeared in exhibitions at the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC; the Museum of the City of New York; the Frye Art Museum, Seattle, WA; ACA Galleries, NYC; Salander-O’Reilly Galleries, NYC; Hackett-Freedman Gallery, San Francisco, CA; and Hirschl & Adler Galleries, NYC.
