Nancy Freeman, a native of California, now lives in Washington, DC. As a lifelong artist and a classically trained painter, she’s tried nearly every traditional medium and has loved many of them. By now, though, she almost always uses soft pastels because of their speed, versatility and richness of color. Exhibitions of her work have been mounted by galleries, universities and museums all over the world.
