Art, beer, and food — three good things that are better together! That’s the idea behind Art on Tap, coming next Friday, October 3.
Six local breweries paired their beers with a painting or print from an Art League instructor. Now, the restaurants you see below are going to create an appetizer to match! Your job at Art on Tap is to try them all and vote on the best triplet. See what’s in store below!

This silkscreen print by Nancy McIntyre has been paired with a cream ale, and Columbia Firehouse will create the appetizer to match.
Scott Hutchison’s self-portrait is paired with a black lager from Devils Backbone and an appetizer by The Light Horse.
Alexandria’s Port City chose this Patrick Kirwin painting to pair with their Optimal Wit, and Pizzeria Paradiso of King Street is crafting the appetizer to complete it.
One of two IPAs in Art on Tap, Loose Cannon by Heavy Seas is paired with a Susan Herron watercolor. Bastille is creating the matching appetizer.
Charlottesville’s Starr Hill paired their IPA with this musical Rachel Collins watercolor, and RedRocks is making the appetizer.
Hardywood Park’s second beer is their Singel, which they paired with Nancy Freeman’s pastel painting. Chadwicks is creating the appetizer based on that pairing.
3 Brothers, a Harrisonburg brewery, is bringing their not-yet-released Fairgrounds Fall Ale, a pumpkin ale, and this Ted Betts watercolor. Virtue Feed & Grain is making the matching appetizer.
