June’s Exhibits are Here!

The fifth in our 60th anniversary series exhibits is in the Gallery for June, along with our annual international ceramics show and Susan O’Neill’s exhibit of figure drawings, “Figural FINE LINES.”

Countdown to Summer Classes

This summer is your chance to dive into a new art class, whether you’re starting something you’ve never tried before or continuing a lifetime of study.

Previewing “Tabletop”

Tony Clennell juried this exhibit of ceramic art that’s at home on a table. Plates, pitchers, cups of all kinds, and more have arrived at The Art League from ceramics artists across the U.S. and Canada in time for the exhibit opening on June 4.

Upcoming Workshop: Interactive Sculpture

What is a microcontroller? It’s another tool in the artist’s kit. A way to add lights, sound, and movement and make artwork interactive and dynamic. And it’s the subject of an upcoming workshop at The Art League.

June Workshop: Portrait Painting with Dan Thompson

Born in Alexandria, drawing since age two, and now on his way to teach in Shanghai, Dan Thompson is leading a workshop next month focused on portraiture — specifically, painting the human head in oil.
