“A Sip of Alexandria” Special Exhibit

In partnership with Port City Brewing Company, The Art League is celebrating the city of Alexandria’s 275th anniversary with a special exhibit. The exhibit will be installed in Port City Brewery’s beautiful V.I.P. lounge and tap room. Artworks in this exhibit will highlight the unique charm of the historic city of Alexandria.

Submission guidlines:

Artwork must not exceed 20lbs

Works on paper must be framed using plexiglass

Artist must be a current exhibiting artist member of The Art League gallery.

Artists are free to enter any current work made within 5 years that in some way depicts or highlights Alexandria.

All artworks must be for sale, gallery retains a 40% commission.

Works are chosen by the selected juror’s curatorial vision and aesthetic.

Meet the Juror

Taylor Chauncey

Taylor Chauncey is the Assistant Director at Principle Gallery. She joined Principle in June 2017 while finishing her Bachelor of Arts at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. She graduated with her BA in Art History in December 2017. Before joining Principle Gallery; Taylor worked as the Target Gallery Intern at the Torpedo Factory Art Center here in Old Town Alexandria and as a Gallery Guide at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, DC.
