The Photographic Process is a special exhibit that highlights the wide scope of photographic techniques and the unique approaches that photographers use to create their work, from hand developed negatives to digital photography, tintypes, cyanotypes, and more. This exhibit was open to all artists within the United States

Exhibit Dates: March 10, 2022-April 3, 2022.

Awards: The Art League Best in Show ($500 credit for use at the Art League Gallery, school or, supply store.)

Meet the Juror

Em White

Em White (b. 1990, Bremo Bluff, VA) is a visual artist and documentarian, specializing in historic photographic processes and large format work. Her portrait and fine art practice are intertwined, often using tintype, glass negatives and experimental film techniques. Working out of her mobile darkroom, she makes meticulously hand-crafted images of people and place.

The Photographic Process is a special exhibit that highlights the wide scope of photographic techniques and the unique approaches that photographers use to create their work, from hand developed negatives to digital photography, tintypes, cyanotypes, and more. This exhibit is open to all artists within the United States: non-members are welcome to submit their work!

Exhibit Dates: March 10, 2022-April 3, 2022.
Entry Deadline: February 15, 2022
Awards: The Art League Best in Show ($500 credit for use at the Art League Gallery, school or, supply store.)

Guidelines:
-Artworks must adhere to our framing and presentation guidelines
-For a flat $10.00 special exhibit entry fee, artists can submit up to 3 works
– Artists are free to enter any current photographic work made within the past 5 years.
-40% commission for all artworks
-Artists who ship artwork to the gallery do so at their own risk, and must include a prepaid return shipping label

Works are chosen by the selected juror’s curatorial vision and personal aesthetic.
We expect to notify artists of the results ten days after the deadline.
