Bethany Slater is a multi-disciplined artist based in Washington DC. She shows her pottery
in galleries across the United States and has featured her work in Ceramics Monthly
magazine. She maintains a studio practice and enjoys teaching pottery at studios in the DC area.

Bethany received her Bachelors of Music from the Eastman School of Music in oboe
performance, and then went on to study at the Paris Conservatory as a Fulbright scholar.
She currently performs with the Inscape Chamber Orchestra and for the last 20 years, operated an oboe
reed-making business.
