Lindsey Augustine

Lindsey Augustine is a potter and teacher based in Fall Church, VA. She fell in love with ceramics at a young age. She creates nature inspired, functional handmade pieces using patterns and textures from her surrounding world. Augustine creates and collaborates with local designers and was on HGTV for her handmade lamps and tiles. She has made everything from jewelry and dish-ware to lamps and homeware. Augustine never shies away from experimenting with new techniques and materials. She keeps her creativity alive by teaching high school students to build original art using a variety of ceramic techniques, from hand building to the pottery wheel. She has taught ceramics for the past 15 years, and within Fairfax County for the last 12 years. Augustine earned her Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art at James Madison University and runs a handmade ceramics business named WareClay. Augustine was published in Martha Stewart Living 2019, Arlington Magazine 2019, Country Living 2021, and HGTV – Best House on the Block.
