Teaching Experience

• The Nora School, Silver Spring, MD grades 9-12, 2021-2025
o Sculpture, painting, book arts, mural (executed a large mural in the courtyard with the mural class),
photography, digital design, yoga/dance (on a rotating schedule), urban studies, darkroom lab, urban studies.
o “Intersession” activities: biking 150 miles from Pittsburgh PA to Cumberland MD, horse-back riding
introduction and camping at Assateague. Led a class in painting a mural in the courtyard, on permanent
display.
o Additional duties as a CMT (certified medical technician).

• Teaching Assistant, American University, 2019-2021
o Antonio Mcafree, Digital Photography, Jaimes Mayhew, Digital Art. Prepared and gave a lecture on the
History of War Photography, assisted with student’s work on the computer as well as setting up studio lights
and Green Screen
o Don Kimes, Painting 101, prepared and offered a lecture on art historical perspectives in painting space and
language. Assisted with basic drawing techniques.
• Visiting Artist Workshop, The Pensacola Museum of Art, 2017
• Dragonfly Yoga, occasional guest teacher, and Gulfbird Industries, yoga class series, Fort Walton Beach, FL. 2015-
2019
• YMCA Camp Vacamas weekend counselor for “at risk” teens 1990-1998, Brooklyn NY and Meadtown, NJ. Also

worked one full summer there and one full spring with an environmental education program for Patterson, NJ sixth-
graders.
