A panel of judges consisting of professors from top universities in the Washington metropolitan area will join the Smithsonian in awarding $1,500 to winning entries of the competitions. Participants of classes may also attend group critiques, closing lecture, awards presentation and reception as well as watch a selection of the area’s finest figurative artists as they work during a three day model marathon. Programs are held at the Ripley Center in Washington DC on the Downtown Mall.
