Call for Entries- DCAC’s Sparkplug: Sparkplug, a collective sponsored by DC Arts Center, is currently seeking new members interested in participating as curators or artists. See DCAC’s website http://www.dcartscenter.org/sparkplug.htm for more information.

National Cherry Blossom Festival –DC: For the first time, the Festival has launched a graphic design contest –called “BLOSSOM!” It is open to amateur graphic designers, 18+ from the Metro DC area. For more information on the contest visit http://www.blossomdesignchallenge.strutta.com/.

Art in City Hall – All-Media Exhibit (No theme) – Alexandria, VA: Receiving: Saturday, March 20, 10 – 2 and pick-up of unselected work is Sunday, March 21, 10-2. Kelly’s Art & Frame – Alexandria, VA: Deadline: March 22 – Any medium and any subject matter; acceptance is at the curator’s discretion. Show dates 3/29 – 4/21. Entry fees: $ 10 for up to 4 pieces by the same artist (3 framed pieces & 1 bagged and boarded). All artwork must be for sale. Never Think small! – Redux • A Small Works Exhibition – NY: Deadline: March 22 – Painting, prints, digital work, photography, collage, drawing, or any 3D work than can hang on a wall. The Trawick Prize: Bethesda Contemporary Art Awards – MD: Deadline: April 9, 2010. Up to 12 finalists will be selected to display their work in an exhibition in downtown Bethesda, and the top four winners will receive $14,000 in prize monies.
